Dragonfly Cycle Concepts has over 75 years of combined motorcycle riding experience in it's workforce of employees, we ride our bikes hard with the same components we sell so they're getting constant R & D. There are no windshield mounting bolts that stick out on your inner dash, or lower mounting bolts visible from the outer, just clean lines and good hardware. And all of our fairings are proudly made in the USA. There are 3 major differences that make our patent-pending 6x9 speaker design detachable fairing the best in the business:
- Internally-mounted speakers
- Stainless steel mounting brackets holding the fairing together are formed and bonded to the inside of the fairing from top to bottom, offering unmatched strength and no vibration of parts
- State-of-the-art, injection molded composite process used to stamp out smooth, perfect parts every time
- The Basic Fairing includes the inner and outer shell (black gelcoat finish) with your choice of windshield, speaker mounts with grills and mounting hardware. Polished, stainless steel mounting brackets now come included
- Quickly detaches in about 2 minutes. As the fairing weighs approximately 18 pounds with a stereo installed, we use bolts instead of quick-release pins. We now offer a Fairing Lock exclusively made for us by McGard security bolts. We use the same bolt pattern to hold the inner and outer shells together as HD, most Harley-Davidson fairing accessories for '96 to current Electra Glide models will fit our detachable fairing with no adjustment. This includes nose bras, mirrors, chrome moldings, wind deflectors, windshield storage bags, gauges and replacement windshields
(outer shell width 38" across at widest point, three 1" long 1/4 20 bolts on top dash hold inner and outer shell together along with three 3/16" Allen bolts on each side of inner shell, chrome molding uses 1 1/4" long bolts, some HD windshields require shaving at the edges to prevent sticking out at edges of fairing dash, fits most single-DIN sized stereo units that are 6 1/8" deep, and most 6 x 9 speakers with a depth of 3 1/16", and magnet diameter of 3 9/16")
Injection-Molded LPRTM Composite Parts
- Part is cured at 300°F during manufacturing process, which means high heat tolerance to post-production warping or fiber strand print-through after painting
- Perfectly match any two parts together without individual fitting
